OJ

I have this...thing. I tend to experience sympathy (empathy?) yes, empathy, in the strangest situations. For example, even though I voted for Barack Obama for president, when I watched John McCain give his concession speech I felt very sad for him. His disappointment was visible on his face along with the toll that the campaign took on him. I didn't wish for a different result, but I felt sorry for McCain.
Similarly, today I watched the sentencing of OJ Simpson while eating lunch at the 'dillo. (That's funny, I watched his 1995 "not guilty" verdict from my high school lunchroom.) And while a.) I know that he is guilty of the crimes he committed in Vegas and b.) I believe he killed Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman, I still felt sorry for him. He looked so sad.
