March Sadness is right!

In the words of one of the only two commercials aired on television this weekend, I don't have March Madness, I have March Sadness.

This is generally one of my very favorite times of the year...right up there with Christmas. It's the NCAA tournament, my birthday weekend, and I just had my yearly review at work (which was actually supposed to take place in December). What could be better? My 3 favorite teams - 'Cuse, Carolina, and State (NC, that is) - made it to the big dance! My sister is finally coming down from VA to visit for my birthday- let's hear a big WOO-HOO for Megan! There's a big salary increase on the horizon!

Then the bubble bursts.
All 3 of my teams pooped out. Badly. Embarrassingly.


Yeah, I hear ya, Herb.

I did not receive anything close to the raise I was expecting. Still got one, and a generous one, but that Audi TT will still have to wait.

BUT...Megan is still coming! And with my teams out, at least I won't be glued to the t.v. again all weekend! Finally, relief from the Cingular and Applebees ads...
